CBT is a widely practiced therapeutic approach that helps individuals recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns that negatively influence their emotions and behaviors. Our goal is to interrupt automatic, negative thinking and replace it with more balanced and constructive perspectives. Through this process, clients learn to identify, challenge, and reframe maladaptive thoughts using intentional, evidence-based techniques. Common interventions practiced in group settings include journaling, role-playing, relaxation exercises, and cognitive redirection. CBT is recognized as an evidence-based treatment for a wide range of mental and behavioral health conditions.

DBT helps individuals build skills for emotional regulation, stability, and healthy relationships. Life Point centers on four key areas of psychological and emotional development: mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation. In practice, these skills are developed systematically and progressively through individual and/or group therapy sessions. The Life Point DBT model is regarded as an evidence-based treatment with strong clinical support for its effectiveness.

CM is our solution that aids in reducing the use of substances such as cocaine, methamphetamine, and others by reinforcing positive behavioral change through structured rewards and motivational incentives.
-
At Life Point, we use Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help reduce marijuana use by guiding people to explore their own reasons for change rather than just telling them what to do. It works through conversation—respectful, nonjudgmental, and focused on the person’s values and goals.
This proven method has great results for our clients because it:
Builds internal motivation:
Reduces defensiveness: Strengthens self-efficacy
